No kidding Rich. I think my poor husband has to work till October to pay the taxes. Guess it helps it's also the richest. I guess what blows my mind is when we drive around the country side is so beautiful and then the cities are so run down and dirty. The richest is also the poorest looking. Your name fits the state well.

I saw that list from MSNBC---- Its contents I would take with a grain of salt-- it uses information that is dated and has erroneous data sources, that are highly subjective.

No; news sources like MSN or MSNBC use data and stats that can be subjective and impartial. California has a higher sales tax, higher income tax, city and county taxes, MSN & MSNBC are just as bad as Fox news in presenting fair information.
I have seen other so called 'studies' that do not even rank CT in the top 10 states for taxes- so should I judge this one any differently?

I would take most studies with a grain of salt, especially lists generated by the networks you mentioned here. I couldn't agree more.
Connecticut's tax burden is highest when taking Federal taxes into account, but when talking about just state and local taxes, Connecticut drops 10 spots.
With that, we are taxed very heavily in total. A couple of towns in NJ are merging services to save a couple bucks. It would make sense for some small towns in CT to think about this.
