Can anyone give me some info. on Coventry? Are people happy with the schools even though test scores may not be as great as some nearby areas? What is the feel of the town? Rural, I assume? Are there grocery stores nearby? Where do people shop and how far is it? How big is the town? Is it a nice place to raise a family? Are there outdoor activites like hiking trails, etc. nearby? Parks? Young families?

My husband has a job interview there next week and I wanted more info. about the town.

Town of Coventry, Connecticut -- Welcome to the Town of Coventry's Official Web Page

It lies slightly to the SE of Hartford about 20 miles. Population 12.500. Travel to the west-Manchester and Hartford will be route US 44 and I 384 (Freeway) to I 84 (freeway)

Shopping is at the excellent though pricey Highland Park Market, but also The Big Y in nearby Tolland, a few miles away. Basic shopping such as drug & liquor stores, cleaners, etc are in town and nearby Tolland. For expanded shopping , Vernon, Manchester & South Windsor just to the west.

As Jay said about the schools- they perform slightly above the state average.
