Wife and I have been house window shopping and will likely move in 2019. We've been using Redfin, Zillow and Realtor's search engines/apps. The Connecticutforsale.com site is OK but their interface is incredibly dated and cumbersome to use.

Are these the best methods to get up-to-date inventory? They all seem to source from MLS and we've been liking Redfin the best. However, none of them let you sort or search by things like "natural gas" -- e.g. putting in that keyword into Zillow gets you very few hits.

I used Zillow. Then again, I knew enough about the areas I was looking at that I knew where to expect things like natural gas.

I use Zillow to see initially and map it, especially if I am looking in a particular area on the map. Zillow also gives price and tax history. Then I open the same property on coldwell bankers site since it gives the details in a very systematic way

I mostly use zillow but sometimes find listings show on realtor.com but not zillow and vice versa.

Try homesnap. My office did launch an app that is quite good.

I use Zillow, but I'm really familiar with the area. I liked Raveis when I was less familiar with it
