And this valuable commodity was given and really appreciated by someone who was very giving back to you.

Maybe with your new HDTV you'll watch the local news reporting you as the "relocation help to CT ambassador" and maybe an invitation by Gov. Rell

City-Data is fortunate to have a moderator like you!
Mrs. Rell, as most state employees give little thanks to people like me who offer creativity, new thinking, and have gratitude for the many gifts Connecticut has to offer. They seem to hire deadbeats for the most part who are political hacks with no vision.

Be that as it may 'new pioneers' like you and me hope to change this attitude.

Dear Jay and skytrekker,
You are both fabulous and always consistant, as a realtor you have helped me tremenously in getting to understand areas of our state that I barely have kowledge of. So again, thanks, I know that you don't hear that often enough!

If you have any questions about Connecticut towns in New Haven County, Middlesex County, or New London County, I'd be happy to answer them. I've got 27 years of stored up information.
Cinti is a good town. I think you'll like it. There is a Ballard Design and Frontgate outlet off of I 275. It's worth trying to find.

We bought our house in Marlborough. It isn't my dream house but the lot is nice and it is brand new. My husband likes the house. I hope we at least bought in an area that is attractive to people in the future. It seems so but in this market, nothing seems to matter. I've found that out while trying to sell my home in OH. Oh well.

In CINTI, you will find that spring comes just a little earlier than what you're used to. It is even earlier than in Cleveland. It's funny what a couple hundred miles south will do. You won't get as much snow at CT but you might get more freezing rain and ice storms. Luckily, the cities are prepared to deal with it.

Covington, KY has really turned itself around and is totally exploiting the downtown Cinti skyline to its benefit. I don't blame them. It's nice to have a drink at a restaurant on the KY side of the Ohio River while enjoying the view.

Here is a quirky thing you might not have noticed yet. When people in CINTI need you to repeat something, they will say: "Please?" I figured out why when I began learning German. Many Germans settled in CINTI and in German, when they need you to repeat yourself they will say "BITTE?" Translated, that means PLEASE. It is interesting because you won't find this in the rest of Ohio.

By the way, I just returned from a trip to central CT and New Haven. The people were fantastic! The Courtyard by Marriott YALE is great and the staff is wonderful. BIG THUMBS UP!

Good luck on your move!

Nan
