PSACT is on a distinguished road
Default Places to live between New Haven and Hartford

My wife and I presently work and live in New Haven. I will begin work in Hartford in the late summer. Therefore, we are looking to buy a house in between New Haven and Hartford.

We would prefer to live closer to the coast because we have friends and family that live in Fairfield County and NY. We also want to be in a suburban area with a good school system (very important).

We are currently looking into North Haven and Wallingford. After driving around both towns, we prefer Wallingford because both the downtown area and US-5 seem to have more to do (shopping, restaurants, etc.).

Any help on good areas in Wallingford to live (neighborhoods, school districts), as well as other towns that we haven't considered would be appreciated. Note, that we prefer to stay close to I-91 or Rt. 15 to help with our commutes.

Thanks in advance.

Wallingford is a very nice town with many nice neighborhoods. I do not thinnk there are any really bad areas. The schools in wallingford are good. I do not think that one is better than another. You can check out information on different wallingford schools on the link below. Jay
