Fairfield's closed after many incidents. I do hope this one goes also. Neighbors reported many violations. They are bringing in a bad crowd, BYOB (it is supposed to be liquor free), unruly.

I’ve met the owners. Nice people. It’s unfortunate this attracts such a bad element. And I don’t think I’m out of line assuming these weren’t Milford residents.

Another was shut down in West Haven and had similar issues.

There was a big debate and outrage over the one in Tolland. A friend was the head of the planning board when it came up and she was so frustrated by the process. I am not sure if there are issues there or if it is still open but I can understand the concerns after these incidents. Jay

If they allow BYOB that violates the no alcohol agreement, and they should be punished for that.

In addition, if they are allowing wet tshirt contests plus gang members in, they are at fault for creating a toxic mix waiting to erupt. Neighboring businessmen have told me such was the case this weekend.

I have not had a good feeling when around that strip mall weekend nights. Felt out of control.

It is up to businesses to create an atmosphere which attracts strictly law-abiding citizens, not lowlifes. That is their job, and if they cannot keep it safe, I'd prefer it be an empty, unrented building vs allow them to continue operating there.

I will judge the business by what occurred.

Are you sure BYOB isn’t permitted? It is at many businesses without a liquor license. It’s permitted at the board game cafe downtown, for instance.

Not sure on that, but nearby businesses indicated to me, it was not supposed to be.

At this stage, I hope they close soon. It is hardly a co-incidence IMO these places have been host to tremendous problems in their host communities. That is not fair to the law-abiding residents of Milford.

It says on their website alcohol is not served nor is it permitted.

Yes, those places really seem to attract riff raff.

Hopefully, cops stay in that parking lot each Saturday. Might be wise to check license plates for active warrants. With the crowd they obviously draw, that should be a productive exercise.

I suspect a few storefronts will be vacant soon, and I will applaud that outcome.

another raid Saturday aborted another big problem.

Can't wait until Milford gets rid of this trash.
