Hey all,
Iv'e been quiet on here for a bit especially with the awesome quiet winter we had.....I had nothing much to say. Haha.
So, as in my subject, probably a dumb one but I am 99.5% sure I am going to finally accept a new job doing what I do now in Wallingford that actually is comparable in pay to my NY job. I guess waiting for almost 9 years for something decent to come up may have actually worked for me. I have already driven there but only on Saturday for a few interviews and it was like 25 minutes with no traffic. I am sure during the week or afternoon commute has to be a million times better than the hell I experience daily right now.

It would be Merritt to Exit 66. Figure to work by 6:45 AM so probably leave 6:10 or so. Leave in the afternoon around 5 or so. Any crazy traffic I need to know about?

Congratulations. This job switch is long overdo. The commute certainly will be MUCH easier than your current one. The only possible slow down you may see is some traffic at the East Rock Tunnel. Even that though will be minimal. The rest of your commute should be clear sailing particularly since that commute goes against the traffic which is generally southbound in the morning and northbound in the evening. Good luck with the job. Jay

Cool. That's what I thought. Thanks. Yes, overdo but I am at the same company for 15 years so parting is going to be very difficult.

Agree with Jay. From where you are in Derby, take 15. Youíll hit traffic around the tunnel but it wonít be like Fairfield County traffic. In the afternoon, 15 does back up from the tunnel through Hamden southbound, which can be a headache

Your new commute it going to be amazing in comparison though.
