Default Lake Plymouth, CT

Does anyone know about Lake Plymouth - from both a lake house purchase perspective, and type of lake it is? Good appreciating values if purchased?

Also, Lake Harwinton, CT - same question....

Thanks

My family has been living on Lake Plymouth going on 23 years. We raised our kids here.It is a nice neighborhood. We have association fees which you pay once a year. It's a quiet serene setting. The kids from the Lake attend Plymouth Center Elementary School, & Jr High & High Schools down in the Terryville section of Plymouth. From my understanding this land use to be an old farm. The lake is man made from what I've been told.To walk around the lake ,it is about 1 & 1/3 of a mile. It's a nice walk,if you enjoy that. Many of us do.We have many older families,& many younger families. And a few families that on going on 3 to 4 generations living here. THe 4th of July gets a little noisy, because of the picnics & fireworks. But we enjoy it! Your aloud to have boats ,but motor boats are not aloud. You can swim, fish & ice skate & picnic at the beach area also. There isn't any life guard on duty on the beach area. For shopping ,I do the morjority of it in Torrington.Rt # 8 is just down the bottom of the hill. Then there is Bristol,& Waterbury. The association keeps the lake nice & clean. I hope I answered some of your questions. If I can help with any more information,I will be happy too ! Enjoy your summer ,Waterview

Usually, you can edit your post as long as no one else has responded. You should see two options at the lower right-hand corner: "edit" and "quote."
