Default Connecticut most HP/City Patrolled Roads?

What's stretches of city road and highway are patrolled the most in Connecticut.

I know David Letterman talks of getting stopped on one particular stretch of highway.

Route 7 through Ridgefield and Wilton are crawling with police. I've gotten pulled over going 48 in a 40 and I know people that have gotten stopped going 5 over (mostly in Wilton). Granted I was over the limit - most cops will give you 10 miles over before they snag you though.

Other roads that are patrolled regularly are Route 67 between Woodbridge and New Milford and the Berlin Turnpike.

On the highways, it seems to be mostly I-91 and I-84. Little enforcement on I-95, even less enforcement on Rt.15(Merritt/Wilbur).

I've always wondered this because I appreciate the warning flash and do it sometimes for other motorists. My guess is that yes, they can pull you over ... will they? Probably not, unless the cop is really having a bad day.

What stretch did Letterman comment about?

Letterman lives in New Canaan. I believe he comments on the Merritt Parkway. I know he was pulled over a couple of times there. Jay

Actually, David Letterman moved from New Canaan a few years ago. I think he moved to somewhere in Westchester County, NY.

I-95 around Old Saybrook and East Lyme is very heavily patrolled since the fatal crash there last year.
