Red face relocating to hartford area from Toledo need answers and help asap

hello we are moving to hartford area due to husband's new job in east hartford from toledo, we are very unfamiliar with the area , however have done tons of research about the areas, looks like we want to try to find a nice suburb near his work in east hartford, approx no more than 20 min commute in safe neighborhood, close to shopping etc good schools a plus however our child is only 2 now, heard nice things about glastonbury of course, was considering looking further into manchester, middletown, newington, cromwell, vernon, etc, we are coming from a 4 bed house which we currently pay 1200/month rent for nice home in toledo realize 1200 dont get very much out there, need at least 3 bed 1.5 bath trying to find townhouse or condo or apartment that has attached garage and basement a plus, so far what places ive found online and through craigslist etc all dont really have what we are looking for, was wondering if anyone knew of any other complexes like that maybe that werent on the general apartment websites that had 3 bed 1.5 bath attached garage, basement, playground area would be nice too, as would some kind of yard, would consider house for rent or condo for rent also, looking to be around 1500 give or take on rent, i found one place that trully matches all we are looking for called rosewood condomiums in north haven but that commute to east hartford from there on mapquest said 45 minutes each way?? anyhelp much appreciated, also can email amber.reyna@hotmail.com thank you

Yeah, mapquest is about right, about North Haven. It's not close. For $1500, you might be able to find a small single-family home or duplex or condo to rent in Manchester, Vernon, or even Newington. Not so much the other towns you listed. You might want to get with a realtor to help find a rental. Good luck!

I agree with wanderintonc!
1500 for 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bath will be tough to find. It can be found, but more likely in a place like manchester or vernon or even windsor, which are larger towns then say something like glastonbury.
If you look in those towns you could find something that does include a basement but you may need to give up a garage, or they may not be completely updated etc.
I think for that price your best bet might be a apartment complex.

Good luck in your search.

Vernon might be your best bet in finding something as you described in your price range- Glastonbury is more expensive.
Newington, South Windsor and Wethersfield are good options as well. These towns are all within 30 minutes commute time to East Hartford.

Rental homes as you describe are not all that plentiful here- you might find however a townhouse as you describe. Or an upscale apartment complex in Manchester or Vernon. Hockanum Crossing in Vernon is beautiful. Both Manchester & Vernon have brand new apartments of high quality being built.

Craigslist is fine but also try the Hartford Courant for rentals
