Default Commute between east farmington heights and east hartford

Is there terrible traffic problem if I live around east farmington heights and work at east hartford?


Please give me some ideas.

It can be, depending on the hours you commute. I 84 is really your only bet-unless you want to traverse Avon Mt.on route 44.

Another option is US 202 in Avon to CT 185 through Bloomfield to CT 218 to Interstate 291-across the CT river to South Windsor-then US 5 south into E. Hartford.

How long will it take if driving along I84? I am probably on the road around 8AM, and back around 5-6 pm.

those are actually the worst times. Not sure about time frame, but I know you'll be in some traffic for a little while. The few times I've been on that route I have spent half hour or longer waiting to get through hartford, but it really depends on the time of day. So figure a half hour to get through hartford and then maybe another 15 to get to EF heights? I don't do this commute daily though so someone else may have better info....
