I also would urge caution in the selection process -there are some dishonest people around who might take advantage of you.

Can your vet or groomer recommend anyone?

It might be safer to go with a recommendation from a professional you deal with.

Good luck and post if you find someone wonderful!

I do have a vet tech that watches my cats but cannot stay over at the house that long and the other already has plans. I am looking else where too. I just thought someone in the area would see this and make contact with me. Thanks.

My son works at a veterinary hospital and also does a lot of housesitting. I would call around to vet hospitals in the area to see if anyone house sits. Most people working at a veterinary hospital don't make a lot of $$ and are very honest.

My son works in Norwalk. I'll have him ask at work if anyone knows someone in your area. BTW - He just finished taking care of 6 dogs, a litter of puppies and 2 cats but they paid him a fortune

I'm an ex-pat Yank, been out of the country over 20 years (!!! can hardly believe it myself!), currently in New Zealand and strongly considering coming home to Connecticut soon, where most of what's left of my family still live. I've done quite a bit of housesitting here in Auckland for a housesit agency, and can give you references. I'm 52, a divorced woman novelist, just earned a Master's in English literature, will be looking around at various doctoral programs.

How long do you need someone for, and when?
