Cool Best High-Speed Internet Provider(s) in Bridgeport?

Subject line says it all, folks...is Optimum the only real option? Anyone know of a satisfying DSL provider?

Thanks!

I was having many issues with dropped/slow connections with at&t/yahoo dsl, so i switched to optimum. I've been surprisingly pleased with optimum dsl. I tried numerous times to rectify service issues with at&t, as i was afraid to go with the unknown(optimum voice phone service). I'm glad that i switched, and i will keep the triple play package after the promo rate($99/mth.) expires.

I'd definitely go with Cablevision (Optimum). I've used Verizon DSL (in NJ), Comcast (Danbury, CT) and now Optimum in Stratford, which I'm very happy with. Optimum's triple play is a good deal even after the one-year promotion expires.

I would steer away from DSL -- I'm in Fairfield and the AT&T service is really not good...mostly just slow as hell with intermittent periods of no service lasting only a minute or so. I haven't tried Cablevision up here, but had it in NJ before we moved here last year and it was very good. AT&T just brought their Uverse (similar to Verizon's FIOS fiber service) which is being decently reviewed. They have a $90 triple play that offers comparable cable service to Cablevision, but allegedly faster Internet. The voice service should be pretty decent, considering the amount of bandwidth available. And, they will wire the inside of your house as needed. That might be something to look into.

On a related note, the Optimum Voice VoIP service isn't that great -- lots of dropped calls, bad static on the line, etc.
