Rickd203 is on a distinguished road
I also live in Meriden, just east of Broad St. I have lived here since 2001. Most of the problem areas are around the center of town. Generally (notice I said GENERALLY) if you draw an outline using Broad St., Britannia St.-Kensington Ave., Centennial Hwy- Centennial Ave., and Prospect Ave.- Coe Ave. you will want to stay outside that area.

I'm trying to sell my house and I'm running into problems because people are comparing my house to houses in that area. There is a much higher level of drugs and criminal activities there. Also, many of the houses there are built on lots that are barely .1 acre. My property is .34 acre. I feel so disgusted that I have actually considered marketing my house specifically to drug dealers that are looking for a good place to grow marijuana that is close to their customers. They're the only people that seem to have enough cash laying around to be able to make me a decent offer.
