Default Safe to walk from train station to Wooster Square?

I want to visit the farmer's market tomorrow, but the train doesn't go to State St. on Saturdays. Is it safe for someone to walk from the train station in New Haven to Wooster Square (in daylight)? I'm talking both personal safety and walking safety.

Thanks!!

Yes. Just walk up State and take a right on to Chapel. You could also take a quick cab up there.
