Default Eco-Friendly in New Haven

We are thinking of moving to New Haven in the next couple of years. We are an eco-friendly family, wanting to find other families like us. Is it possible? We also would be interested in other small towns near new haven. Is there anywhere near New Haven where we can find this element?

Thanks for your insight.

Towns along the Connecticut shoreline-east of New Haven; Branford, Guilford, Madison, Clinton ,Westbrook and Saybrook might meet your desires for towns that are Green and protective of the environment.

Towns along the lower Connecticut river;Higganum, East Haddam, Essex, Chester & Deep River may also may have been of interest to you. All charming, pristine and not changed much in 200 years.

To the north east of New Haven; Durham, Middlefield & Killingworth are fine small towns as well, rural, and protective of the land and water.
