Johnny CT is on a distinguished road
Something you should consider is that currently Shore Line East only offers service during commuter hours Monday to Friday. There is no weekend service. However, Amtrak offers service on the weekend but I'm not sure if they stop anyplace between New Haven and New London. Some people say that Metro-North will eventually take over Shore Line East, it is currently run by Amtrak for the state of CT. I wonder why CT hasn't tried to market the coastal area as sort of a Hamptons alternative for New Yorkers and run express trains during the summer?

I grew up in CT and I think the coast is absolutely beautiful. I currently live in NYC and it would be a dream of mine to have a weekend home either on the coast of CT or the Northwest corner.

One more thing to consider is that there are some proposals for some big developments near the casinos. Over a ten to fifteen year period that could transform that part of the state, for the better or worse I’m not sure.

Hi I live in Madison ( I am an agent) and this area is ideal for a second home! From Branford to Old Saybrook are wonderful towns all different in their own way. This is a great time to look before the spring market takes off. PM me and I can supply you with alot of town links to help you fine tune your needs. Tracey
