Here is a link to the SAT scores in all CT high schools. Some of you are really splitting hairs here. Glastonbury's SAT scores are excellent.

Wherever there is wealth, there will be education. Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants etc. will always want the best for their kids. They value education more than others. So, put it this way; the more education there is among adults, the better schools will be.
Now as for comparing suburban school to suburban school; thats just ridiculous...

You prove my theory, usmc. New Canaan has the highest SAT scores on the list. I think thats one of the wealthiest towns in the nation.

You have it the wrong way around - good schools drive up real estate prices and tax revenue to put back into the schools.
People with higher educations have higher salaries and can purchase these expensive homes and don't mind paying for them because of the great opportunities for their kids.
Absolutely, education is highly valued. It's a win win situation for those that can afford it. Those wealthy towns have low crime rates and are beautiful places to live.
By the way, you couldn't be more wrong implying only wealthy people want the best for their kids. What an ignorant statement, just like this thread has now become.

I was thinking the same thing. Wealthy people just have the means to get it.

There's more too, Hand in Madison, Newtown, New Fairfield, Masuk too are most likely just as good as Glastonbury.
Glastonbury is right along side Ludlowe and Trumbull. They are great schools don't get me wrong, but the ones mentioned above are just as good or better.
Staples is consistently voted the top high school in the state.

If I am reading USMC's link right, Masuk in Monroe actually has some slightly higher scores than Trumbull. Sorry, there is a long-standing feud between Monroe and Trumbull so I couldn't resist pointing that out.

Is there any town that borders Trumbull that doesn't have a bone to pick with them?

I didn't mean to put it in that way. Kidyankee you said what I was tryin to say in a better way.
By the way, I said "they value education more than others". How can that equal "only rich kids want the best for their kids?"

I wasn't suggesting that Monroe's was the highest in the area, just that Trumbull High isn't necessarily better than Masuk. Masuk actually outperforms Trumbull High on many test scores.
I do agree with your statement that there are many schools just as good as Glastonbury or Trumbull. There are a lot of comparable schools in Connecticut that for some reason get overlooked.
