Default WEST HARTFORD, Single family home rental?

We are looking to relocate from California to the Hartford (western) area and would like to rent a nice single family home for a while so we can get a feel for the community before buying. I can't seem to find many rentals listed-I am checking Craigslist and seeing a few there. Any suggestions or is the inventory small. I 'd love to hear any thoughts...Time frame is July..
Thanks much!

Check the Courant.com for rentals as well. There are not a lot of single family rentals in the area in general. You might also contact a local realtor to see if they have anything. Jay

Realtor.com shows rental listings. I just checked and found some single family homes in West Hartford, starting at $1800 per month.

Good luck with your search and your move!

In West Hartford alone, I found about ten single family homes for rent, ranging from about $1800 - $3500. There will be more in other towns. You can try Realtor.com but just be aware that some of those may be gone before you see them. Although it's not my listing, there is a single family rental on Selden Hill - it's a nice area and reasonable price for the area. I showed the home across the street and noticed it was for rent....
