Default Parks and nature trails in Milford

I will be planning a day trip to Milford this weekend and would like to know where to find information on trails in that area. I will check out Silver Sands but I see there are some nice lakes further inland on Google Erath, one labeled Mohawk swamp and Dismal Swamp, then there's also a "Red Root Park" though I cant find any information on it.

I grew up in Milford and never heard of them, but maybe they're new. There is a trail called Beaver Brook (very short marsh walk, nothing great). If you go to the Audubon Center in Milford, there is a really nice beach walk starting from there.

I'm not sure about anything in Milford but you can check out Sleeping Giant in Hamden. It's about 15 minutes away.

DEP: Sleeping Giant State Park

We love the Audobon Center in Milford, and go there every year. It's a pretty walk on the beach.

The city of of Milford has recently put out a small booklet listing all the trails/bike paths in and around milford. I think you can pick it up at the Parson's complex or the Chamber of Commerce.
