Default State Parks

Sorry about the last thread! Didn't mean to step on any toes, or hurt anyones feelings...

I wanted to know what State Parks in CT are worth visiting as I've only been to a few...(Salmon River in Colchester/East Hampton, Harkness in Waterford, Gay City in Hebron, Gillettes Castle and Devils Hopyard both in East Haddam).

I've heard that Talcott Mountain is nice, as is Sleeping Giant in Hamden but haven't been to either. Anyone have any favorite spots?

Sleeping Giant is fun. Peoples State Forest in Barkhampsted is lots of fun. There is some great hiking up there with lots of old Indian artifacts including tribal caves and old burial grounds. There is also a Stone museum, and restored Tavern that is just historical no booze lol and also the Farmington river offers good fishing.
Dinosaur state park is also a good time if you have kids.
Kent Falls state park is also a nice spot.
