Default Help, need a pediatrician in Glastonbury

Do you have a good female pediatrician to recommend in town? We have tried Somerset Pediatrics since last August and I am really done with them. A physical requires a 3 months advance call, we can never see the same doctor twice. I want out of it. Anyone else to recommend?
Thank you

vvolin - I share your frustration. Somerset was great when Dr. Marge Vacek was there but since she has been gone, we really struggle to decide if we should stay or not. I had an arguement with one of the doctors there last year. She scolded me in front of my child over a minor issue (not eating vegetables) that Dr. Vacek said previously not to worry about. My child is very active, healthy and is never sick. Vacek said they are obviously getting the proper nutrition and we should not worry about them not eating vegetables because they are getting their vitimans in other ways (real juices, ketchup, salsa, milk, etc.). This doctor did not agree and thought I should force this child to eat them. She also previously has said to force our other child to take horrible tasting antibiotics. Needless to say that lasted a few nights of holding the child down and literally ramming it down their throat until they gagged and split it up all over the place. After several nights of this we called Vacek and she said we should get one that was milder and tasted better. The child got better with the milder medication. I told my wife I will not go back to this doctor again. Jay

HLR is on a distinguished road
We like Dr. Jack Lavallette. It's just him and an excellent nurse practictioner. However, I think I heard that they're not taking new patients, but I'm not sure of that myself. He is affiliated with St. Frances Hospital in Hfd (as well as CT Children's Hospital) Give it a try at 657-5800.
