Default Moving Possible To Bristol From Midwest, Anyone Else?

Possible move to conn from mid west. Not really looking forward as the Northeast is different on all angles.
Any comments?

From where in the Midwest? The Midwest covers a huge area starting from Buffalo (and even Rochester), New York, going all the way to the Dakotas. Also, what are the size and characteristics of your current town(ship)?

Bristol and how bland and boring it is has been discussed many times here. You might want to look at other towns.

It might be best to give a more specific location you currently reside, before the forum can begin to give guidance.

Look on the bright side - not matter what , you get hafe as much snow...and no more -20 F below mornings.

That would be good enough reason alone!

Bristol has some decent/nice areas, but compared to other CT towns and cities, it really pales in comparison. If possible, give other CT areas a look first, before moving to Bristol. Bristol has seen better days--although they are trying to revitalize parts of downtown and have been for years.

How do you mean? The northeast is wonderful. There is a lot of history and beautiful scenery. Even though Bristol is a small city, there are many wonderful lively places to live nearby. Consider West hartford or even Hartford for city excitment. Consider the nearby Farmington river valley towns of Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, Canton or Burlington for scenic beauty. You will be living between two of the greatest large cities in the world (Boston and New York). The mountains are nearby, the beahces are nearby. It is a wonderful place. Jay
