4 girls - Welcome to Glastonbury. I am sure you will like it here. I know people that live there and do love it. One family are golfers and moved there to be on the course which they are. Another lives there with kids and are happy. Keep in mind that this development has had some issues with stray golf balls in peoples yards. The course was not designed properly to prevent this and was reconfigured at least once because of these issues. Keep this in mind when looking at a home there. Also note, there is a new restaurant in the clubhouse and it is very good. They serve pizza, salad, dinners and sandwiches. I have had pizza there and it was excellent. Minnechaug is a very family-oriented neighborhood. It takes 1 1/2 buses to get all the kids to the elementary school, though there are kids of all ages. Most houses do not have issues with golf balls. In fact some of the newer streets don't even border the golf course. Which street are you looking at? The location is very convenient for people who work in Hartford as they can take I-384 instead of Route 2. Almost every store imaginable is in Manchester/South Windsor which is 10-15 minutes away. The golf course offers lessons for adults and kids and the restaurant is good and convenient.

Also note that Highland Park Market on Manchester Road is nearby which is a great convenience. It is a nice little market with great meats and excellent service. They also make a very pizza and have the best sandwiches in town. You will pay a bi tmore for groceries there but for the convenience it is worth it. Jay
