You both made an accusation towards Exxon.

Your mission is to back it up. Go find reputable, verifiable proof that what you think is true and your opinion then becomes fact and your accusations are accurate.

I'm curious to see what you can dig up.

P.S. I'm not on either side of this. I am simply being objective and taking sensationalism, ideology and emotion out of it.
I didn't direct that at you - I knew the quotes meant they were Exxon's claims.

Anyway - I don't need to find proof to know that the worlds greediest oil companies are in it for profit, and most definitely can't care less about anything 'green' other than the almighty dollar.

But thanks for the suggested mission.

(oh, and I don't think taking quotes directly from that company's website is reputable or verifiable. JMO)

You care about their profits, too - those will be funding your retirement. Either your personal funds or institutional retirement funds are more than likely to contain oil stocks.

Many folks have mutual funds that may have Oil companies in their holdings- I have one through Putnam funds with mostly 'Natural resources'...

symbol PRNBX; having these companies

BP
OCCIDENTAL PET
DEVON ENERGY
APACHE
CONOCOPHILLIPS
CHEVRON CORP
StatoilHydro
XTO ENERGY INC
MARATHON OIL CORP

Be that as that it may I have under $1000 in this fund- I would be remiss and also hypocritical to not admit this. I intend to sell this fund very soon, for moral/ethical reasons.
