Default Asian food stores near Naugatuck?

Hello all,

Well the move from South Africa is now complete and I am safely in Naugatuck. Now looking for places to source my favorite foods. Does anyone know of a good Asian supermaket/store near Naugatuck?

Thanks for any assistance.

Regards,

Warwick

I know Naugatuck is on Rt-8 and I know the one I'm about to suggest is off of I-95 in West Haven.. It's called Indian & Asian Groceries
315 York Street 2, West Haven, CT 06516. This is where I do my Indian grocery shopping.. But this maybe a bit too far off for your.
Let me ask you first, when you say Asian, do you mean Indian or chinese? Because the two cuisines are eons apart!
I can suggest either, depending on what you're looking for.

For Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, or Laotian try:

Southern Variety Market
130-132 Wood Avenue
Bridgeport, CT

I had ordered four samosa's to go (cost $4) and at the time of payment I realized at that I had run out of cash. I told this woman at snacks counter that I have run out of cash asked if I could pay by credit card at the main counter (they don't accept card at snacks counter but they do at the main counter).

To my disbelief, the woman got angry and asked me tauntingly "You don't have even 4 dollars? I will allow you to pay by credit card this time but not in future"!!!

I was a regular customer of this store, used do most of my Indian grocery shopping from them until today. They have definitely lost at least me as a customer. I would not recommend any of my friends to shop with them.
