West Coast Mover is on a distinguished road
Default Avalon New Canaan

Could anyone tell me what the quality of Avalon New Canaan is like?

I am moving from LA to CT to commute to NYC.

I have seen Avalon properties on the web and would love to know what the New Canaan property is like from someone who has seen it first hand.

Thank you.

It's across the street from the "transfer station"(the dump). The location isn't the most desirable one in town, but anywhere in New Canaan will be A++ in terms of safety. Avalon typically attempts to build their apartments by utilizing(some people would say exploiting) the state affordable housing statute(10% in each town must be "affordable"). New Canaan and Darien recognized that they would pay a lot of $$$$$$$ to fight Avalon in court, so each town quickly negotiated a compromise. The compromise was a less desirable location.

They're newer units and the grounds are well maintained(New Canaan doesn't tolerate blighted property).
It's not the most convenient location for someone commuting by train, imo.
