Default Getting from Hartford to Storrs and back again?

Hi there! I'm moving into graduate housing in Storrs next month as I pursue a master's degree. I don't have a car (living in Chicago right now), and don't intend on getting a car. Thus, I know I'm going to be reliant on buses or the kindness of strangers.

I've been trying to navigate the CT transit website, and I just can't find what I'm looking for. So ...

Is there a way to get from Storrs to Hartford and Hartford to Storrs on the weekdays and weekends? That is, without paying $50 for a shuttle service?

It is going to be nearly impossible to commute from Storrs to Hartford daily without a car.
Do check http://www.cttransit.com/

No no, not needing to commute ... just the occasional to and from (my best friend lives in Hartford -- she doesn't have a car, either, and her bf uses his frequently).

And when I move next month, I'll be dropping off a rental car at Hartford airport and needing to get back to Storrs without spending a bajillion dollars.

Peter Pan runs two busses daily between Hartford and Storrs.

reason180 THANK YOU! I can't believe I couldn't find that anywhere ... $16 isn't too bad. Now if I can figure out how to get from Bradley to 1 Union Place on a cheap-o bus, I should be set. Yipee!

Welcome to CT.

The Bradley Flyer bus will get you from the airport to Hartford.

Another tip: If you can get from Storrs to the casino you can jump on one of the many Chinatown bus to either Boston or NYC for very cheap if you are ever looking to make a day trip.
