Bridgeport was not so bad, like I was told. I saw the desirable North end and the undesirable Chopsey Hill(?), Reservoir(?). I really appreciate all of the assistance that everyone gave me with my search. Norwalk was nice and my husband and I really liked some condos there. So thanks for the help.

Glad to see you enjoyed visiting both cities. Good luck with your search!

I'm not sure where anyone suggested this.

Default The Mrs. - my parents were born in Bridgeport, so I will never speak against it.

However, I do think you'll be very happy in Norwalk - it's a lovely city, a fast trek into Gotham via I-95 or Metro-North and some great beaches and parks (Veterans Memorial Park, Calf Pasture Beach, et alia) You mentioned Van Buren Avenue in another thread - great part of town and an excellent choice.

I do hope you'll be very happy there - good luck. Welcome to Connecticut!

And Bridgeport isn't so good either. Don't be seduced by a nice day or two visiting Norwalk or Bridgeport, both are cities with some assets and a lot of problems. Ignore the real estate agents. Do you really want to plunk down your cash and raise a family in these places? Check out the schools and mil rates. Yuck.

Many streets in the North End are nice!

That used to be gorgeous. My grandparents lived there for years....sadly things change.

Reservoir in Trumbull - - Not too bad BUT.... go down too far into BPT and that is where one of the few housing projects that remain in Bpt is. From what I hear the streets around the project are rough
