Hi all,

I found a nice place on Elm near Campbell in West Haven. I am single and in my 20's just looking for a decent place to live before I buy a house. What do you know about that area?

All of Campbell is fine, Elm going towards the New Haven line after Campbell(towards 1st Ave) gets shady quickly. Not like people getting shot shady, but muggings aren't rare.

Lived in West Haven for many diff years. Be careful b/c taxes are KILLER if you buy in West Haven. Which side of Elm (Library side or Burger King side)? If its Directly behind BK thats the project.

Thanks for the info. I will only be renting in WH. The apt complex is actually closer to 4th ave than campbell. The particular unit is on the 2nd floor and comes with a garage.

I'm thinking about moving to West Haven and was told that it was a good area. Is this true and what are some good areas?

Betims... it doesn't matter if your only renting... if you are coming with a car you will have to register it in WHaven. Then the tax collector will start taxing your car at WHaven mill rate.
