Many towns in Connecticut have fairs in the fall that are agricultural based. In Glastonbury there is the Apple Festival. Connecticut had a State Fair for years in Danbury, but the fair grounds were torn down for the Danbury Fair Mall. Since then the Big E in West Springfield MA has served as the regions "state fair". It is very good. Jay

Woodstock Fair IMO is the niceset and best in Connecticut.

The Big E is great, more of a New England Fair though.
