State Fair
Does Ct. have a State Fair? If so when and where is it held? And is it worth going to?
Thanks

I have always heard great things about the Durham fair. I've never been to it, but was actually giving it serious consideration this year:

There is also the renowned and famous Woodstock Fair- around Labor Day in this small eastern CT town. See Woodstock Fair

There is no outright Connecticut State Fair, but there are several large ones as andthentherewere3 and skytrekker have already pointed out.
The Durham Fair
The Woodstock Fair
The Hebron Harvest Fair
Those three are the largest you will find!

I read that the Durham Fair was the largest in North America.

Ah, that's a definetly, for sure, not a chance in hades.
The Durham fair is okay, I guess. I think it's gotten a little less "New England" every year and for me is way overcrowded...but I'm a little bit of a fair snob I suppose. LOL
The Big-E is really what I would consider our "State Fair" as it's a few miles over the border and the largest thing we have in scope.
I also like the Brooklyn Fair and in Maine the Maine State Fair at Skowhegan.

Guilford has a fair in mid-September that is nice. I had no idea rabbits could get so big. And Norwalk has the Oyster Festival. Plan ahead for parking.

Every year my parents took me to the Guilford Fair and I thought it was magical!! Is that where I learned to say to the very very large pigs "You swine!"?
