Default Housing in CT

I'm helping a family who would like to move to CT and use their section 8th voucher, which is goverment program for working families. Have any one heard if it is possible to rent in decent places not Ghetto ? Thank you

I will say their is a much HIGHER probability of section 8 being accepted in a city atmosphere more so then in a Suburb.

Percentage wise, most section 8 is in the cities, but most suburbs do have section 8 housing, they are more difficult to get into and some have waiting lists. They may want to narrow down where they will work and concentrate that way. New haven area, Hartford Area, Waterbury, Meriden, Middletown, New London, Danbury, etc. most suburbs surrounding cities will have something.

From what I hear on the streets of Waterbury, Torrington has really nice housing..
