Default Is New Milford (Candlewood Lake) a good investment?

Please help me!

My husband and I would like to purchase a weekend home (currently we live in northern NJ) on Candlewood Lake, New Milford. We want to take advantage of the market but want to make sure that Candlewood Lake is a good investment in the long-term.

The house is located in the Candlewood Springs lake community, across from the lake with views and directly across from the private beach entrance.

Thoughts?

While I do not know the particular community that you are interested in and no one knows for sure where real estate will be in a few years, I would say that in general any real estate investment that will be made for a longer period in Connecticut would be good (depending on the particulars of course). If you want to buy and flip, then it may not be wise since the market is not the greatest for selling right now. JMHO, Jay

Default candlewood lake

i grew up in new milford in a lake community called Candlewood Trails. it was the best place to grow up in my eyes. we had a lot of people that came just for the summer from new york. the development is really nice and some of the people i grew up with are still living there today. maybe you would like to look into that one.

A word of caution: many have predicted that, if the price of gas goes significantly higher over the next few years, the value of houses in distant suburbs, e.g. New Milford, will drop.
