I disagree.
I'd still like to know and have answered

1) Is Upper FF County different in terms of sports allegance than lower FF County?
2) Is it true as I read..that CT's tip roots for NY teams...but the box goes for BOS?
3) Is there a difference in allegance from FF county once you enter Milford/Orange/Woodbridge/West Haven?
4) What about New Haven/East Haven/Hamden/Wallingford/Branford/Meriden
-Guilford/Madision
5) What about "the valley?"
6) What about Litchfield?
7) Somebody told me that Milford was the line between Yanks/Sox...which makes NO sense since NYC is a metro north ride away while Boston is nowhere close...is this true and if so/not then why?

Nothing Personal Blue

but I have received complaints about the rather ubiquitous multi postings regarding Sports on the CT forum- lets call for a moratorium on this subject for awhile.

You and others have the option of taking your questions and posting them on the sports forum.

That really ENRAGED me when I heard last week Terry Franconia and the Red Sox called the Shelton team because they represented NE in the LLWS.

That was downright encrouchment and I had a good mind to complain.
I really get mad at the Boston arrangce.
NE is not a state.
Just because CT is part of the NE region DOES not mean it is for Boston.
When you are 65 miles from NYC and 155 from Boston...you are in the tri state region and Boston should back off and mind their own business.

Dude, give it up. That shows class on part of Franconia.

If Shelton is so much a NYC "team" Joe should have placed a call to them don't you think?

So are you now saying that Little League is guilty of encroachment for classifying Shelton as New England?

I don't understand how offering support to the Little League New England team is a display of arrogance by Francona.

Because Shelton is part of the NY tri state region...it's not part of Massshole.
To suggest that because it is across the border in CT makes it part of the Boston region is absurd.
Franconia had no business butting his nose in.
Tell Boston to stop poaching....CT is closer to NY...it doesn't matter that it is a New England state.
It's also a tri-state state of the NYC region.

You're argument makes ZERO sense. Are Vermont and Maine part of the "Boston region"? No, they're part of New England. The subject matter is New England, not Boston.

...And, you still haven't answered the original question.

Well Maine and New Hampshire are closer to Boston than Fairfield County...and are the heart of New England.
Shelton is MUCH closer to New York City...it's in the New York Tri State Region for goodness sakes.
Franconia did that for political and self motivated reasons...brainwash kids into thinking because CT is in New England it must be a Red Sox state no matter how close it is to New York.
He and they are trying to poach fans from OUR corner of the state...and it's classless.
Somebody should formally ask him to keep his and the Red Sox nose out of Ct's business past metro Hartford.
