The $75 per night for 3 dogs and cat sounds fair-That's what I would charge for 3 dogs and a cat to come to my house per night.
Any advice on where you'd look for a pet sitter? Most of my clients have come from cragislist, but a few have come from local postings-restaurants, stores, library, etc.

Ok, thanks! That is about 45 minutes from me, but still about the same price range I would think.

I have one dog. Does anyone know of a pet-sitting organization that services West Hartford, where the person sleeps in your home and cares for your dog?
Thanks,
Dawn

You might want to ask at your vet's. There are frequently vet techs who'll stay at your home while you're gone - can't get much better than that!!!!

Good for you Bethec.... So many dogs and pets go unattended and deprived that there needs to be more of you out there. I just hope they are registered and have a history of animal caring / loving.
My dog would be sick to her stomach if I left her anywhere else. In fact, she would be sick if I was gone more than 1 day.

I would charge $25 per day per pet to care for them in my home which is on 1/2 acre. Fenced in backyard, cameras, love, toys, ect. I'm loving and energetic. Lots of walking if they need it. I would email or texts updates with pictures of their loved one.
I would give you a choice for either your pet to have their own little apartment or upstairs with us.
Bonus:: If pet stays more than 5 days I offer $50 credit for next time they have them stay with me again. All for just $25/day. I'm in Norwalk.
