Default What I am looking for? TALL ORDER

Can anyone make suggestions for a place to live?
Important

Rental Home not apartment
Family Friendly
Diverse neighborhood
low crime
Access to Walmart, Target, etc.
No more than 1 hour commute to NYC
Metro North Accessible (least important but still on list)

Any suggestions would be helpful.

East Norwalk, Bettswood area. I'm sure there are rentals there that are not apartments.

Stamford, and Norwalk are your best bets.

Stamford has a Target but no Walmart. It's super safe and a very quiet and well-maintained city for its size. It takes 44 mins by train to get to the city (express train).
Stamford is pricey--similar to parts of Manhattan/Brooklyn. Norwalk is less-expensive but about 10 mins further out.

Danbury has all of that but the commute into NYC might be a little longer than an hour.

Waterford, but not close to NYC in anyway. But if you can sacrifice that, it's friendly, lots of community stuff, Target, BJ, walMart etc. I love this area.

Wish I could make it more easily train accessible to NYC though.

The Derby Hilltop area would meet all of those requirements. For Metro North we prefer to drive to the Milford train station (10mins) and go directly rather than go from the Derby station and change trains in Bpt.
