Just wondering if there are a lot of Milford, CT residents who commute to Manhattan for work? I know it's a haul...

Thanks.

I commute in from Fairfield, which is a bit shorter, and it's not an easy commute every day. The train is a minimum of 65 minutes, more like 70-75. You would be an additional 20 minutes, on average, from Milford. Factor in driving to the train, parking, waiting time, then on the other end walking/subway to your office, and your commute will be easily hitting 2 hrs or more. If you can't catch express trains because you have a different schedule, then the commute is even longer, with some trains hitting 105+ minutes. Good luck!

I know there are people that do this commute but I would not recommend it. As ToddB said it could approach 2 hours and that is a lot longer than most people wold tolerate. Jay

It's doable...New Haven County if part of tri-state of New York...and thus NYC country...you won't be alone.
People live there escaping high price FF County.

While I live in Milford I don't commute to New York, but I know a number who did. Most used the train. You usually will hit traffic that can take upwards of 2 hours in the morning. I use to commute to Stamford from Milford, and I knew I had to be through Fairfield before 7:20 AM or I was hitting traffic.
