Can anyone share what the typical commute would be like - (ex. how long on train? where would you pick up train? then how long on the subway? etc..)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been doing a ton of research and seem to be going in circles!!

The ride from the Rowayton station into Grand Central would take about 60 minutes. From there, the trip can get difficult. Tribeca is on the southwestern part of Manhattan, therefore nearly an hour walk from Grand Central or a 15 minute cab ride without stop and go traffic, which we all know is next to impossible. His best bet would be to take the subway from GCT to switch at 42nd (a five minute transfer) then take the 2 train to Chambers St (Tribeca). From 42nd to Chambers will take about 9 minutes.
All in all, with driving time to the train (say 5 minutes if you are right in Rowayton), waiting time for the train (~10 minutes), train time (~60), and subway time (~20), you're looking at an hour and a half each way. Doable, but it can get tiring. Stamford is a nice city, and the express train is about 10 minutes shorter than the one from Rowayton.
