Default Newman passes; Great loss for CT

Paul Newman, the great actor and an incredible man of class, substance, and generosity just passed. This is a great loss for the state (and the world actually). When I thought of Newman, I thought of Connecticut, and vice versa.

Share your thoughts.

Wow, this is too bad. He was a great actor and humanitarian. His Hole-in -the Wall charities helped so many. Jay

Newman leaves a tremendous legacy in his body of work and several charities. Few have lived life so fully. Please everyone, do something this weekend to observe his spirit of generosity, in his remembrance.

Such a sad loss! My partner and I had the privilege to have met him about 3 years' ago at the Westport Playhouse. He was such a gentleman and wonderful guy in person. On screen, he was a masterful legend and classic "movie star."
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. America lost a classic screen legend.
