I am looking for information and relocating tips. I have a family with 3 kids and I would like to relocate to an area where the schools are good, low crime, and houses are affordable (200's - 500's). I am moving from the city so I would love to live in the subarbs or a small quiet community. I would also take into consideration new developed communities. If anyone has any helpful info please respond.

Try Fairfield. I just saw a nice 3 bedroom 2 bath home sell for $475,000 Anywhere South is too expensive, and the schools are marginal to lousy at best. Commuting is not great though unless you can take a train. The place is getting very busy.

Default Plainville is safe, small, quiet & affordable with good schools

[SIZE=2]We have lived in Plainville for over 11 years and have been very happy. Our oldest just graduated from HS in June, and our youngest has a few years left. The schools are very good with good teachers and small calss size. The taxes are middle-of-the-road, but affordable by CT standards. The town is small (about 19,000) centrally located and you can get to just about any other part of the state in 1 - 2 hours.

We are selling our home and moving to a warmer climate. Best of luck to you in your search for a new home! Greg
