Default Thank You Comcast For Ruining My Sunday

Well I was preparing to watch the Mets game today, to decide if they will be in the playoffs, and close out Shea.
The game was being aired on SNY...which Comcast Vernon does not get.
For some reason Comcast from East Hartford, two towns over, gets it, but we don't.
However, the game was also aired on TBS.
I thought I would end up seeing the game...until I found out that because this is considered Met broadcasting range...it would be blacked out except on SNY...which COMCAST DOES NOT OFFER.

How selfish, how greedy, for Comcast to charge us 100 bucks a month, yet for the biggest game of the year, have it where there is ZERO chance for us to see it.
Unreal.

I've sent emails, made phone calls, but something needs to be done.
To charge us this much money and then arbitrary NOT offer us channels with NO alternative (MLB extra innings would have the game blacked out) is obscene.

Here is Comcasts website if you'd like to help fight corporate greed against powerless consumers

How do I request a channel not currently carried on my channel lineup?

Also I emailed Don Amore of the Courant...I'm surprised members of the CT legislative branch haven't done something...if you ask me this illustrates the problem these monopolies have.

I hate Comcast. I'm a Cubs fan living in central Illinois for school and occasionally the game will be on WCIU which is only available in the Chicago area and since Comcast plays Cubs and White Sox games occasionally they'll put one or the other on Comcast Plus which is also unavailable here. Yeah, and they're overpriced as well.

BC, Ct is a strange state indeed. Ive lived here for 9 years and still don't understand how this place works. If you rub elbows with the chosen ones you're good. But that's life in general. I have satellite and Ct wants to tax that too. Soon air will be taxed along with flatulence here.

There are some odd situations where blackout rules apply. On a side note, I was able to see the Jets play today - a rare treat indeed.

No...it's just absurd.
Why do the cable companies have this much power over us?
If they are going to force us to have one cable company...and fork over 100 bucks a month...then d*mmit...show the %^&*in game!
The greed and power these companies is absurd.

Give me the game...charge me less...or let me choose my own cable company like I do my own grocery store.
If you overprice for crappy service...let me have the power to go to a competitor who actually cares about the consumer.

You can change, to DirectTv or Dish Network.

Also, once again you can watch the games with the MLB package or on mlb.com

With the Mets and the Yankees done for the year, this would be a good time for you to re-prioritize your life so that this crap isn't as important to you as it appears to be. They don't care about you, why should you care about them?
