I am looking for quarries in Connecticut that quarry Gneiss. If anyone can send me information on quarries I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know what Gneiss is?
Google Portland quarry, Portland, CT

Default Gneiss quarry found
Hello stfritz. There is an operating Gneiss quarry in CT: Tower Hill quarry, on New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT. The quarry is run by the Schena family, and they cut large slabs and curbstones everyday, the material is similar to salt & pepper granite. If you can't find them in the book, try Scotts Orchards, on the same road.
