Thanks ginrock77. Growning up in East Hampton and being gay was not exactly a fun time. I heard all the gay comments along with racist views. I doubt things have changed. Luckily I don't live there anymore.

East Hampton is a very traditional community. While I do not believe people would be rude to you or treat you as an outcast, I don't think that you would be necessarily as comfortable as you would be in other towns mentioned such as West Hartford. I believe that Marlborough and Hebron are a lot like East Hampton in the sense that they are very traditional and family oriented. I think that Middletown is a very "open minded" town, especially since Wesleyan is located there.
