If you dont have a dog or a family then I say buy a snow plow truck and move north. You can make an awesome living by plowing snow!

So while jobs and economy are down, snow will always be falling. Good luck. I wish i can do that

Ash, i'll give you some unsolicited advice that you probably don't want to hear.

Stick it out in FL. with mom, get a college degree down there, and then come back to Connecticut. With the uncertainty of the economy right now, i think you're looking at a dead-end path if you come here now. Just my .02, good luck.

I second Stratford's advice.

I wouldn't be so sure - ski areas in CT are facing very hard times due to the lack of natural snow in recent years.

I'm honestly done with college for now. I've transferred 3 times already and I finished an online program to become a Vet Assistant. Thanks though.

I meant Montana, Alaska, Vermont, Minnesota, Canada. Anywhere snow falls, people need guys to plow. They make a killing. You'll be wealthy within a few years.

I can tell you their aren't many jobs for vet assistants here in CT and the ones that their are prefer being certified which means you need to take a state exam and pass it.

To be honest having gone through a veterinary program the online programs will probably be looked down upon most employers as it requires a lot of hands on learning which can not happen online.
Most people I find want you to have at least experience from internships.

Good Luck.

I hate Bridgeport!!!! I've lived here for 4 years in a lovely area called black rock, but this city is out to get itself. It simply is the worst city I've ever lived in completely because it's so terrribly managed- and I made the mistake to buy here. My property assessment just went up 40%- at a time when the nation is in as close to a depression as has been in my lifetime. No place is real estate going up- and it's going down here as well- but our taxes are through the roof. How high? Try $9,000.00 for a 850sf house. That's how high. NYC and San Fran don't pay anything close to that. It's CRAZY. We get no city services with that except garbage pick up. I HATE IT HERE.
