Default New Haven - to Yonkers?

Need help. My husband and I were planning to move back home to Yonkers NY for our kids. We've been planning for a year now and have our minds set. The kids are happy about going. I originally worked in Danbury and wouldn't mind the commute but I have just accepted a job in New Haven. I researched trains and It looks like it would take me 2 hours to and from and to drive might be a nightmare. Any suggestions ideas or advice? I don't mind taking the train for two hours if it's my only option but I would like to know this first. Are there people out there that really do this? Travel to and from this much?

There are people who commute to Manhattan from as far away as Wallingford and Bristol. Personally I wouldn't do it but if you don't mind a 4 hr round trip commute, then I say go for it.

I do not think there are too many people who do this commute. Yonkers is not a city that most people move to. Have you considered moving somewhere closer to New Haven? Your drive will be long and difficult because you have to travel through Stamford and New Haven where there are commonly backups going into the city. Good luck, Jay
