Default Christmas tree farms

Can you recommend a great Christmas tree farm within 30 minutes drive of Stratford? Preferably with a little entertainment of some sort that kids will love.
Thanks

Yes, definitely Jones Tree Farm! You mentioned on another thread wanting to visit Shelton, Jones Tree Farm is the perfect place to go. I'm not sure where you are in Stratford, but you could take Rt. 110 north at exit 53 on the Parkway all the way to Jones Tree Farm, JTF is right off Rt. 110. The drive will take you through the old downtown of Shelton. You will be driving alongside the Housatonic River much of the way. (there is a cute little playground on Rt. 110 next to the river, keep an eye out for it, something to consider on warmer days if your kids are young enough) If you do go to JTF, dress warmly, it is always windier and colder there because it's on the side of a mountain. Wear comfortable shoes as well, you will have a lot of walking to do. And be aware that it gets quite crowded at the farm the later you go during the day.

Welcome to Jones Family Farms

Ditto on Jones tree farm....We've moved away and this time of year I really miss going to Jones' and getting our tree, hanging out by the fire, checking out the gift shop............We lived in Stratford and it was a nice short drive to Jones'

Jones is the one !!! You can pick from pre-cut, or cut your own, or (I think) they have some with a root bagged in burlap for planting in the spring.
