Hello Everyone,

I am looking to move from the bronx to conn...My husband works in the bronx and we are seeking an area that will allow for a commute time of no more than 1 and 15 minutes or less...We are also seeking public schools better than in nyc and a good family neighborhood with stores that I can walk to with a stroller...A townhouse or condo is preferred in the range of $200,000 or less for 3bdrms and 2 baths....Any such thing exist in the state of Connecticut or should we just look to move upstate somewhere...Any responses out there will be greatly appreciated...Hope I gave lots of specifics...And...will my hubby be able to remain a NY sports fan and watch his local NY teams on YES?
Thanks,

Hi there,
My family and I just moved from the Bronx to Stratford, CT in July. Stratford is a quaint little town with so much to do and its only 1 hour to the Bronx. Plus there is a train that can get you to fordham rd in 1 hr 30 min. At first I didn't like it here but not because it is not a great place. It was more of missing friends and family and I lived in the Bronx all my life. Now I am begining to settle in and like my new hometown. For the price range you mentioned you should be able to find something here . PM if you need more info.

Thank you so much for the info...Is stratford walkable...I don't drive and have small children...So someplace where I can take a stroller and walk to stores is important...
