Question Church in New Britain

Can anyone suggest a friendly Bible based church in New Britain? I recently moved here from Newington and have attended a couple of different ones, was attending one on a regular basis until the service time was canceled, it doesn't have to be Catholic, but are there any Catholic churches that have 24 hour access to pray? Thanks for any info and G-D bless + + +

This is the biggest disappointment in America for me. People here shut churches down and go home. They open only during service hours.

When I grew up in my home country, churches used to be open like 24/7. The feeling of walking in and silently gazing up at the dome and the decorated windows, hearing sparrows chirp and squirrels running around, is simply amazing.

Many churches here don't have a dome or arches either

I am not a religious person but I can tell you one to avoid. It is near the intersection of Stanley St. and Roxbury Rd. I don't want to go into details but it's a borderline cult.

Was that before or after you were creating a top 10 list of "hawt babes" in your office and basing where you work out on how "hot" the women are? Or was it after you were mocking people of faith? Just curious.

If you want arches and "domes" we have them. For instance, Waterbury has some great cathedrals. Here are a few:

Why do you continue to ruin many threads with your immature sarcasm? Grow up.

The Roman Catholic church I used to attend in Meriden, St. Rose as far as I remember used to be open until night time. You just walk in and do your thing. Although it doesn't have a dome it is very old with stained glass windows, arches, etc.

Most of the modern religions that don't believe in such grandiose architecture seem to just use regular buildings. I have 5 aunts and uncles in those new life religions and they all seem to be in small buildings or warehouses rather than giant gothic churches.

If that's the case why do you feel the need to add to it then?

I guess you are okay with being on the "list" then?

Thanks, USMC. Your response to JV made me go back and read the Chick-fil-a thread. (I stopped reading it when I realized we probably wouldn't get one up here.) I should have figured the thread would have spiraled into something else!

I have to say that I enjoyed the "back-and-forth" among JV, Colossus and Kid Y, though. I didn't find any of it too immature for what typically is discussed on C-D.

I thought it was a few pretty intelligent people expressing their disparate views with some friendly sarcasm. I only stop paying attention to a writer when they get personal (i.e.:not based on a particular comment) with their insults. I like to hear everyone's point of view; that's why I'm here.

Hope you are well!
