Laws about addresses posted on home frontage?
I have a home that was originally built many years ago. In the 80's the property was subdivided. For the past few years I have had problems with courier delivery's because the (A-hole) next door refuses to post a physical numerical address on his home. What steps can I take legally to get this UTR idiot to post the correct number address on his home??
I called the city, and twice they sent letters telling them to post a number. The city rep told me they can fine them $100.00. All I want is that they post their correct address, they don't show any address at all . Over the past few years items that were delivered to me via courier ended up missing. Guess where they went ??? I had Ups go to them and pick up overnight ed airline tickets last year that never arrived. It's sh*#t like this that makes me very
Oh and btw, the creeps next door have multiple aliases, and addresses in different states. Do you think they are hiding from something?? You bet your @__!!!!!!

Some towns require numbers to not only be posted, but to be posted a certain size and in a certain position for 9-1-1 compliance. Check with your local police department.

Good luck. By the way, I get my neighbors' mail and vice versa almost on the daily basis, and it's correctly addressed.

Yeah but your neighbors give it back to you.I wouldn't mind but I'm dealing with crappy low life people who don't want to conform to this country. They are basically creeps who know how to scam the system, and it burns my ____. Well If I catch them stealing my mail I will turn them in to the postmaster. Federal offense. It's nice to sell a couple kilos to buy your home instead of working for it. They have.

Do what you can with the town officials, but also think about how to outwit these cruds.
If you have airline tickets coming, send them to your office (or your spouse's office), or until the cruds move maybe you can ask family if you can have packages sent to their house, or some other option you can think up. We used to be in a building that made package delivery rough, UPS and FEDEX would either leave packages in the lobby of the building with people walking by all day(it was a big building), or some drivers would refuse to leave packages at our address and just kept leaving post-it notes saying we had to drive to the sort station and pick stuff up. GRRR...
Also if you have proof they are using aliases, report that to the officials. If you think they are perpetrating Fed offenses, then use the reporting screen on the NHaven FBI website. Book em Dano

When you have something sent to you via FedEx or UPS you can have them add additional address information such as "the white house with the number 20 and the statue in front." Give them an identifying mark, sure it's a pain in the butt to have to do that every time you order something but at least it will help prevent a mix up. Also speak with your local post office and give them your complaint regarding mail mixups.

Ping Pong, The usual bureaucratic BS,
I called the Post office, they told me to call the city. What a headache. If times were good I would just sell and move away. But you know that's not happening anytime soon. Not many choices when no one will help.

Could you just go over and paint their house number on the curb? I have seen many homes with house numbers on the curb. You won't be trespassing and paint is not hard to do. Maybe use a stencil kit to keep it neat which is available at art, craft or office supply stores. Jay

I could, but I won't Have you ever had your mail stolen, and suddenly a Collection agency is calling you asking for a Latin female? Yes this what's going on right now . They have aliases because they are stealing IDs from Latino communities , and giving my telephone #, and who else s . 1) I'm not Latino,2) I know now why the men have many identities. I don't want any direct contact with them, they are scum. I don't want to alert them that I am on to their scams. In the past I caught them sneaking around my property. They play dirty, and I have to stay one step ahead of them till I can move away. 3) If I do move I don't want my tenants to have the same trouble I do, It's actually a very nice community, except for them being there. That is why I'm trying to clear this up, so I can rent my home. Viva America!! It's over but the memories..
